We at First Presbyterian support our community in many ways.

Our main outreach has been our Clothes Closet which has been in operation for over 40 years.  We are supported by workers from the other churches in the community that help clean and sell the clothing.

The money raised from the Clothes Closet is used to provide scholarships for high school seniors headed for college.

Other mission work of the Church

First Presbyterian also supports the Eminence Council of Churches, a coalition of 5 local churches that combine funds to provide help to community members with utility payments.

We collect food for the Eminence Christian Church food bank once a month.

We participate in the Samaritan's Purse Christmas box campaign each year.

We provide space for for Jefferson Community College to hold English as a Second Language (ESL) classes, four times a week, and open our fellowship hall and kitchen for community events.
